History of Ananthagiri Hills
The Ananthagiri hills are said to be the birth place of Musi River, which is a tributary of the mighty Krishna River. The ancient Ananthaswamy Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Ananta Padhmanabha, is located here. Local legends claim that a Muslim king was instrumental in constructing this temple many centuries ago.
